MOTORIZATION

Shades That Move With Your Day

From a single bedroom retrofit to a fully automated estate — and everything in between.

Motorized shading used to be a top-end-only upgrade. Today it's one of the most flexible improvements you can make to a home — a single guest-room shade on a battery, a great-room system that handles a wall of glass, or a hardwired whole-home setup that talks to your lights, climate, and audio. We work across Lutron, Hunter Douglas, Graber, Conrad, and Insolroll to find the right system for your home, your habits, and your budget — whether you're building new, renovating, or retrofitting what you already have.

Why Homeowners Choose Motorization

Effortless control.

Raise, lower, or tilt every covering in your home from a remote, a wall keypad, your phone, or your voice. Set scenes — Morning, Movie, Goodnight — that move dozens of shades to where you want them.

UV protection.

Colorado sun at altitude is hard on hardwood floors, art, and upholstery. Sun-tracking automation moves your shades through the day to shield interiors without giving up the view.

Energy efficiency.

Cellular shades and insulating rollers, automated on a schedule or sensor, cut heating and cooling costs — especially in homes with a lot of glass.

Safety.

Cordless, motorized operation removes the dangling cords that are the leading window-covering hazard for kids and pets.

Security.

Schedule shades to move while you're away to give the house a lived-in look, and check in from anywhere.

Our Motorization Systems by Brand

We match the technology to the home. Here's what each brand brings to the table.

CONRAD

Hand-woven naturals, fully motorized

INSOLROLL MOTORIZATION

Colorado-built, Lutron-integrated

•  Lutron Native by Design partner — Insolroll motors integrate natively into HomeWorks® and RadioRA® for guaranteed reliability inside a Lutron ecosystem.

•  ThermaShade® insulating rollers — motorized rollers that pull weight on energy performance with a clean modern profile — well suited for Colorado's temperature extremes.

•  Built for big windows — Insolroll specializes in large-format roller and solar shading, ideal for the soaring glass walls common in mountain architecture.

Our Motorization Process

Whether you're motorizing one room or a whole home, here's how it works.

1. In-home consultation. Shelby walks the home with you to understand how each room is used, what light you're managing, and what you want the shades to do. Chad evaluates wiring, smart-home setup, and the architectural details that decide what's actually possible at each window.

2. System design. We build a recommendation across the five brands — choosing the right combination of products to balance light control, privacy, insulation, and aesthetic for each room.

3. Fabric and hardware selection. Hundreds of samples, brought to your house — so you're choosing finishes in the actual light they'll live in.

4. Installation and programming. Chad handles the install — mounting, motor calibration, scene programming, and smart-home integration. We don't leave until everything operates the way you want it to.

Ongoing support. Years from now, when you rearrange a room or upgrade your smart-home hub, we're a phone call away.
